Canada is on a really bad track.
Not only have our governments shown themselves to be cowards (and classless as Dube in Quebec reminds us) but shameless cynical power grabbers at that.
What we've done with the mandates and to the truckers is unforgivable and sets a precedent we need to remedy immediately lest we fall permanently into a quasi-benign totalitarian state; a democracy in name only.
That you vote isn't enough. A FREE democracy demands vigilance.
Canadians have no vigilance. We're living up to our apathetic reputation.
Add to this crisis of law and conscience, we have an economic disaster looming as the Federal budget tabled by the Liberal is basically a mortgaged future for the young.
The spending they're about to unleash will ensure Canada remains a debtor nation.
Prosperity is not in the cards.
Neither is optimism.
