The two main issues media is obsessing over are tariffs and climate change.
Naturally, they frame it both are existential threats.
Which will sink America first?
Stay tuned!
Montaigne:
"If nature should one day be pleased to reveal her secrets to us, oh heavens! what errors, what mistakes, shall we find in our paltry sciences!
I thought about this quote when Climate Barbie McKenna announced Ottawa will impose a carbon tax on Alberta despite the province killing it at the provincial level. This is how heavy handed and tyrannical Justin the punk is.
Now lets contrast this astute observation by Montaigne with Justin:
Notably, an unserious, poorly thought out ideological plan is being forced through without much concern for possible unintended consequences. And part of being moral is understanding the nature of consequences.
First among them:
But fuck those 6 million people yo. We got 12 years to live and we need 'meaningful' action now!
People saying this is a 'good idea' are displaying an inability to sit and think for a moment about how integral a part of our lives plastic really is. Single-use or otherwise. If they would do so, they'd understand how this movement is nothing but an anti-scienftic (go read about how we dispose of plastic and how we recycle it. The technology and ideas are genius) religious cult that, if not challenged at every turn, will make lives harder; not better.
The lack of wisdom on display is remarkable. They're willing to anger a province all for an issue that in the end is one rooted in so much manipulated data and faulty premises.
When this madness cult passes and we'll all be alive in 12 yeas, the putzes will claim 'see the carbon taxes!' worked without a shred of evidence even though we're already seeing all their claims (surprise!) and predictions have not come to pass in the present.
Alas, so will the spin go when we see a carbon tax will achieve nothing but increase the cost of living. The Liberals squawk on about 'helping the middle class' when in fact they have done nothing but burden them.
They expect US to pay for their pet projects while they jet set around the world on OUR dime.
But pointing this fact out is 'extremism' to this group of ideologues in Ottawa.
Naturally, they frame it both are existential threats.

“We have recently switched to drinking water bottles out of… water out of… when we have water bottles out of plastic. Sorry! Away from plastic towards paper like drink-box water bottles sort of things,” replied the Prime Minister.
One may conclude this is just me piling on the wisdom-challenged remedial poopyheads on my part but I think there's a serious point in this to be made.Notably, an unserious, poorly thought out ideological plan is being forced through without much concern for possible unintended consequences. And part of being moral is understanding the nature of consequences.
First among them:
"Justin Trudeau’s ban on single-use plastic straws hurts disabled people the most. According to a 2017 Statistics Canada data, of 6.2 million citizens who suffer from a disability, 40 percent suffer from additional challenges to be considered severely disabled.
According to an article previously featured on our website, plastic straws remain the most barrier-free way for people with autism, mobility or muscle issues (such as multiple sclerosis) to take liquid."
When the 'ban plastics!' craze began (again with dubious data and research backing it up), this was pointed out by people working in hospitals and caregivers. But fuck those 6 million people yo. We got 12 years to live and we need 'meaningful' action now!
