A petition worth getting behind.
Strictly from a humanist perspective, the verdict handed down on Ross Ulbricht was an unconscionable miscarriage of justice by a mean-spirtied Judge Forrest.
I remember the nasty behaviour of former NY state-attorney (I forget his title) Preet Bharara and this judge going after commenters on Reason magazine. They were using their power to abuse and threaten the right to free speech against people who were angered by the decision.
The so-called 'Woodchipper Incident' where comments alluded to the woodchipping scene in Fargo about how they felt about how Ulbricht was treated.
I agree.
Sometimes you just need to fight back for what's right.
Good luck to the petition.
