Epic Progressive Stupidity

You change the year but you can't change stupidity.

I have a bulk and bunch of backed up links and stories to get to so I'll just get to it.

I don't understand what's going on but the obtuse pontification on economics and social policy on public display is simply outrageously disturbing at the moment.

Full blown ignorance of staggering proportion really.

I won't bother linking since I don't want to be responsible for the IQ of my reader dropping a point or two. One is from Nation of Change by Paul Buchheit titled Public Beats Private: Six Reasons Why. The other is Jesse A. Myerson's stunning puerile piece titled "5 Economic Reforms for Millennials Should Be Fighting For."

Myerson responds, by the way, to criticism in the typically smug, childish. fashion left-wingers are infamous for.

Notice no rational or statistical facts to back any of their childishly Marxist ideals.Just one big broad appeal to emotion. Thus proving once more we need to educate our youth about the free-enterprise system better lest they fall into the hands of failures.

Reason and its intelligent commenters blasts it here.

For his part, Buccheit's sad article is taken to task here:

The thing that always intrigued me is what they advocate is communism or socialism yet don't come out and say it. No matter how you dice it, it's what their positions and assertions amount to. If you want to call them that since most are so vapid and idiotic they're rendered meaningless in an abyss of total silliness.

If you're a millennial and you believe this shit then don't be surprised where you stand in life.

Not getting how rights work. More shrillness from the left.

Ban Christianity! No, seriously. People believe this is an intellectual idea.

To make this position proves ignorance of history.

Take this boob Shaun Manley. He thinks America should ban Christianity largely relying on the KKK to prove his ridiculous case. He's one step removed from being as vacuous as Bill Maher on matters too big for their minds to handle.

For a group (progressives) that believes it has a nuanced and advanced understanding of mankind they sure have a remedial interpretation of history incapable, among other things, of abstract thought or maintaining any sense of historical contextualization.

All they understand is force. That's their bag.

Christianity's place in Western culture is so profound and intricate with a monumental and immeasurable impact on our history it's outright ignorance that would advocate its censorship on any level. In life, you must accept the good with the bad and with Christianity, the good includes having bequeathed Universities, our notions liberty as espoused through various intellectual movements as well as providing peace, stability, charitable services for millions upon millions of people for centuries.

You may disagree with some of its positions and actions in the past, but you have absolutely no moral or intellectual authority or basis to call for its ban.

Idiot.

Again, I don't see this sort of absolute outright racism, ironically, on the conservative shows I listen to. It seems MSNBC is so wrapped up in its own shit-stained arrogance, they can't seem to realize how intellectually depraved they've become in their absolute nuttiness.

Take Melissa Harris-Perry - recall the chick who argued your children don't belong to you but belong to the community - has said many eyebrow raising things but this thing about the Romney's adopting a black child, well, this was just sad and unacceptable.

While the bit was not racist, it's funny how on their journey to finding racists under the bed on other issues, it usually ends up being in the mirror staring right back at them.

Nazism is socialism according to von Mises.

Not always easy or evident, indeed, to tell if it was "right-wing" or "left-wing" but given most atrocities in 20th century politics and history comes from the "left" (as well as its admiration for dictatorship and romanticized murderers like Che), I've been of the opinion it's left or progressive.

Where political figures lie on an ideological chart.

Some quotes and comments:

"Leftism loathes differences, deviation, stratifications. Any hierarchy it accepts is only 'functional.' The term 'one' is the keynote: There should be only one language, one race, one class, one ideology, one religion, one type of school, one law for everybody, one flag, one coat of arms and one centralized world state."

- Erik von Kuehnelt-Leddihn, Leftism, From de Sade and Marx to Hitler and Marcuse (1974)

And one from Reason:

"The current crop of Dems really are just Latin American leftists. In Latin America the same plot plays out in every country where leftists take power. First, they lie and bullshit their way into power. Second all of their policies fail and the country grows to hate them. Third, since leftists can never admit fault with their policies, they think that country only hates them because they just don't understand and they need better marketing. When the marketing fails, they resort to fixing elections. Once they get their fangs into the elections the result is either a military coup that throws them out of power like Chile or the place turning into Cuba."

Know how they lie to you.

"Consider for instance some comfortable English professor defending Russian totalitarianism. He cannot say outright, ‘I believe in killing off your opponents when you can get good results by doing so’. Probably, therefore, he will say something like this:

‘While freely conceding that the Soviet regime exhibits certain features which the humanitarian may be inclined to deplore, we must, I think, agree that a certain curtailment of the right to political opposition is an unavoidable concomitant of transitional periods, and that the rigors which the Russian people have been called upon to undergo have been amply justified in the sphere of concrete achievement.’

George Orwell library.

1984 depicts society under a left-wing universe. Not a "conservative" one.

In my view anyway.

How does socialism look?

It's staring us in the face in the form of France and "racism fines."

For comedians.

Don't laugh. Look at the content of the articles on this post (and across the internet and various left-wing op-eds) to know we're not far behind.

Or the UK where social activists now advocate removing children from families for "overfeeding" their kids.

Frightening.

Think about that.

Yes. Because traumatizing them for life by stealing them from their families is a smart solution.

Assholes.

Once Thatcher left, it seems like the UK lost its mind.

If you think Bloomberg was an unrepentant, if not incorrigible, nanny-state busy body, wait until we watch Mayor Di Blasio make him look like a libertarian.

Oh. That didn't take long to "pay back" his friends in his banning of horses and carriages in Central Park.

Follow. The. Money.

It's not about the children and it's certainly not about the horses. It's about power, control and whatever the politically connected have as pet projects on the table.

Don't ever believe for one second they give a shit about your kids - or pets.

In the 'totally made up jobs" file...

David Brooks to teach a course on "humility" at Yale

Or, as known by its other title, 'why conservatives and libertarians need to be nicer and agree with progressives and liberals.'

Yes, this is a course I'd run to. Get my humility fixins' from a guy who argued for more executive power for a President.

So much for "humility."

Enough for now.

Buh-bye.
