Some of them do, though not, that I'm aware of, as a matter of course. Bank of America I think still offers it as a free option, but why the banks don't require it for every card issued, I don't know.
I know it's still possible to use credit and debit cards in many situations, such as getting gas at some stations, without having to know a PIN or billing zip code. You just swipe the card. I've also used my credit cards at places like Trader Joe's market and 7-11 with having to even show an ID.
Even if they came with photos, how many clerks would even bother checking? Not to mention using a card to order stuff on the Internet.

Some pictures would discredit, as on passport, the owner, would not that against credit?
ReplyDeleteHow so Paul?
ReplyDeleteGood point about the internet, Nikk J.
I've never been asked for a picture ID not even as an option.
T.C. have you ever had a good look at those I.D. mug shots? They are adiscredit to the photographed most of the time.
ReplyDeleteCredit, discredit, O.K. bad pun.
Ah.
ReplyDeleteYes.
I always end up looking like a serial killer.
