It's to the point an innocuous opinion can be deemed "extreme."

If you hold a position different from someone be careful...you will be made...extreme!

Of course I'm an extremist (as the establishment defines anyone who departs from the allowed range of ruling class enforced acceptable opinion) and I'm damn proud of it.
