I have to admit, I don't get this "give amnesty to illegal immigrants" business. What more, the temerity to claim it's their (Mexican) "homeland" is quite befuddling.
A link to what the "originals" thought about immigration. It's certainly not a mainstream view.
Our former Prime Minister, the Right Honourable William Lyon McKenzie-King, once declared in the Commons that mass immigration and particularly Asian mass immigration was not desirable because it would change the social fabric of Canada and imperil our fundamental values. That was in 1942 or 43 I believe.

As you know quotes from each of the Founders mentioned were used; however, I too, like you am still mystified pursuant to why some folks are on about reclaiming 'land' that allegedly 'belonged to them.'
