A Bunch Of Links, Thoughts And Ramblings

Steve Emerson, author of Jihad Inc., posted this rather disturbing but not entirely surprising piece of news on his website. Seven House Democrats, so the story goes, are urging AG Eric Holder (more on him below) to meet with radical Islamic organizations.

According to Emerson, in an interview with Dennis Miller, 113 plots had been thwarted by law enforcement and the previous administration. However, while impressive, he cautioned that it doesn't mean the country was any safer. In addition, he voiced concerns as to how Democrats have changed the language about America's on-going war against radical Islamic terrorism. In fact, the term I just used is likely to be considered politically incorrect among Democrats.

Obama positioned himself as "bipartisan." Or at least, his supporters did.

So why are the Democrats doing this? Didn't Harry Reid call Bush a liar on national television with Tim Russert (God rest his soul)? Again, did they not his and boo during a Bush speech or two?

Define hypocrisy please. 'Cuz I really want to know. Looks like both sides engage in this sort of stuff. Just like up here in Canada.

Just thought about something else regarding Obama's speech. Remember when Bush proclaimed "you're either with us or against us?" Critics had a point in cringing at this. While Bush was absolutely, unequivocally correct about the situation, presenting it in that way made it look like those were the only two options available. Obama was on a similar track when he said "I will call you out" to those alleged to be spreading "misinformation." In saying this, he said "I am open to suggestions but this is the only plan I want. Anything that goes against this is "misinformation."

It was a way of muzzling debate.

Of course.

Why wasn't the President present at Ground Zero commemorating the fallen, the dead and lost souls taken from God's earth?

This story (Todd Beamer) still renders me speechless. Try and put yourself in the shoes of those people. An amazing, amazing story.

Guess what? They didn't need the government to tell them what to do "to serve their communities." What is this? It's as if Obama is trying to channel the free spirit of Americans into the government. On 9/11 Americans (and even Canadians I'm proud to say) of their own free will went to ground zero to help.

A link dating back to November of last year to Attorney General Eric Holder's track record. Again I ask, why are people who claim to be balanced and progressive silent on Obama's team but were vocal about Bush's? Does Obama have some sort of syrup-power that oozes out of the tv and onto a bowl of chips? "Serve me! Serve me!"

Poor, poor Stephen Harper. What a nutcase. He has the Liberals and the other one and a half parties, along with some of my fellow compatriots, frothing at their selective collective mouths. He dared to say he was looking for a "majority" in the next election. Worst, he called the NDP and the Bloc "a socialist and separatist" party respectively. Aieeee!

Why the little scumbag! Everyone knows the NDP and the Bloc are...well, come to think of it, socialists and separatists.

Sorry, Mr. PM.

As I type this I can't help but nod my head in disbelief at how absurd the reaction to this really is. Case in point.

These are the same people who probably use the "2 in 3 people didn't vote for Harper" faulty logic. Talk about failing to examine a statistic.

Harper "unmuzzled." Please. Chretien was equally "psychotic" - and, as a swing voter, I loved him for it. Even though by the end the Liberals pretty much annoyed me - and still do.

Last but not least, Gilles Duceppe is still defending the right to let Les Jeunes Patriotes, a fringe idiotic nationalist group not worth much, to read their manifesto on the Plains of Abraham citing it's "a part of history." Blah, blah, blah.

Sort of like how Hudson Bay and Eaton's before forcing them to change their names? Were they not part of our history? Wasn't the reenactment of the Plains of Abraham, a war that had reprecussions which went far beyond our provincial soil, a "part of history?"

Who gets to own history anyway?

Personally, all the FLQ were to me were a bunch of murderous, terrorist thugs.

Outta here. Bye. Salut. Ciao.
