Quebec Still Thinks It's March 2020

This province really is where science comes to die.

One year on with all that's transpired, Sante Publique and public officials still operate on the faulty and erroneous premise of asymptomatic spread, super spreader events and droplets as the main drivers of transmission. 

The province is also going to entrap itself with the fears of variants.

Meanwhile, USA is wide open.

With Quebecers wondering why this is so, Christian Dube - the accountant in charge of pubic safety - said Quebec doesn't share values with America but with Europe.

This is his response.

Gobsmacked.

I know he's a fool but that's some foolishness.

What do values have to do with anything? Is he suggesting we're more caring? That values equate to lockdowns or unscientific measures? What's this idiot babbling about?

Is he saying Quebec and Europe are more 'caring' than the Americans? And which Europeans exactly? I doubt he means Norway, Sweden, Finland and Belarus - all countries that do not follow Quebec's measures - among the most restrictive in the West? And is English Canada share those values since the entire country followed the same pseudo-scientific and arbitrary nonsense of Quebec?

When did this become a values play anyway? When did 'follow the science' and 'flatten the curve' get hijacked by something like values and subjective cultural value judgments? Again, do we need to bring up the Nazis? If this is the prevailing attitude in Quebec's political class we're in serious trouble because these decisions have left a catastrophic mark on society across the West. Worse, Europe and Canada seem committed to this mad fiasco whereas the Americans have declared it's enough. The Fauci emails and the revelations that his may have been bioengineered contributed to it. To continue to act like the American position doesn't matter is going to once again reveal how far behind the facts and reality Quebec and Canada - nestled in its immature false sense of superiority and parochialism - really are. 

So. Values. You mean, like how we let thousands of preventable deaths in nursing homes happen in Quebec and Ontario? Same with states like New York, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New Jersey. But not Georgia, Texas and Florida who learned from other incompetent places - notable Quebec, Ontario and Europe. This has nothing to do with values and everything to do with competence following proper science.

The United States is not only following science but its conscience now. What does it serve to continue to keep people in angst and anger? How is it an example of 'values' by continuously using coercive measures and ticketing people (Quebec has issues more tickets by a drastic amount than any place in North America)? Dube's quip is one that flounders in profound stupidity and arrogant cultural chauvinism. It's premised on the notion Europe is more sophisticate and Quebec rides on that coat tail. 

The U.S. is showing the world that: Asymptomatic spread is rare and was a lie to maintain fear of which the masks was a tool to maintain the fear, super spreader events are also a myth and that droplet transmission is over blown.

It takes a courageous and practical society to accept the fact it's time to move one with rights fully restored.

Quebec instead keeps in place unjustified emergency powers in place because they remain in illogical fear of variants that pose no real threat to us. That Covid-19 is swirling around is NOT the same as being in a pandemic. 

This is not Quebec's finest hour.

They've literally deceived themselves into believing the measures worked. It's breathtaking in its lack of reasoning. Sante Publique has been a miserable, incoherent failure throughout. All it does is embrace non-scientific measures they copy from elsewhere. 

This is GEOGRAPHIC and has nothing to do with 'values'. Quebec isn't more European. It's NORTH AMERICAN and happens to speak French.

This is really a troubling thing to hear because it gets to the heart of their incoherent and unscientific mindset. 

Meanwhile, the INSPQ is still peddling masks indoors and outdoors.

Do they have ANY doctors reading any UPDATED information? One year later, and they continue to bludgeon people with the mask madness.

It's utterly depressing.

Masks that have done absolutely nothing. The sad part is where states have smartened up and have even begun legislate outlawing them we cling to these amulets as if they matter.

Never mind the Fauci emails reveal officials warned against masks saying they're not effective.

But Quebec excels at buying into pseudo-science. We've implemented the worst of the idea with relish and gusto. Quebec is also the one region in the West that has issued the most tickets.

What a sad, pathetic and parochial province this is. A pure clown show.
