Whatever. I just hate stoopid people.
A couple of years back I posted a similar political test - posted by Bret at Skeptical Eye - on my blog. I don't remember where I came out but this one has me close to the center.
I'm rarely a fan of these tests since the questions can sometimes be false dichotomies while other ones, despite the surficial clarity, actually have lotsa grey matter in them.
Still.
Fun.
I can easily fall into the right quandrant. My views on social issues probably pull me to the left.
Damn, you are too close to that "authoritarian" line for my comfort, T.C.
ReplyDeleteLucky you didn't know me 20 years ago! I'm getting better with age.
ReplyDeleteWhen push comes to shove, fret not, I reckon I'll drop further down to the libertarian side. Unless the questions go towards sports and then I have to go Lombardi on everyone's lazy ass.
ReplyDeleteHeh.
Well I tried the similar political test myself. I ended up on the right and further down by a bit than you appear to have been. All the same, I think these tests are flawed. After all, they are only two dimensional and like two dimensional maps, they will have some degree of distortion.
ReplyDeleteI don't think there's much doubt about them being flawed. As I mentioned at SE, I don't think they can ever be scientific.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised to come off to the left side as I was pretty sure I'd be just on the other side.
Either way, I swing. I'm just not as set in my political ways and views as some people appear to be.
For one thing, questions seem to be weighted differently. At very least, the Grey areas are too broad. I tend to score high in the "libertarian" parts of the grid on a lot of these quizzes, tests, whatever you might call them. I certainly do not regard myself as libertarian at all.

ReplyDeleteWhat would you call yourself, Zeus?
I haven't decided, Nikk J.
