Terms I Don't Get

Denialist.

As in "denying" climate change.

Does being a denialist imply a denialist can never have a valid point? If so, doesn't this mean thoughtful debate is discouraged?

Who are the real denialists?

    Denying is not negating.
To deny: to declare untrue;2 To refuse to recognise or ackowledge;3 to refuse to grant (a request);4 to reject as false (a theory).
To negate: to deny the existence or truth of;2 To cause to be ineffective or invalid.
    (Webster's)
The difference is there. Are you a denyer or a negator?

  2. So we're clear here: I'm neither. I read both sides with interest.

I see your point of rebuttal, howeverino.

  3. How can anyone who denies our global climate(s) are changing, be taken seriously?

  4. Do denialists deny climate change outright? Or do they question if it's man made? Or is it skeptics who think this?
