I was saddened to see him go. Wittman was one of those unmistakable sports voices on the CBC. I remember him fondly for his work at the Olympics, curling, the CFL and NHL. A piece of Canadiana has been lost.This hasn't been a good month for Canadian sports broadcasting. Not so long ago the voice of the Toronto Blue Jays Don Chevrier died without warning.
