So if I read the comments in the article correctly, it basically amounts to "well, racism happened their so tit-for-tat."
I can't stand the 'well, in Toronto' line of defense because it deflects from the issue. We're not talking about Toronto and dammit, Toronto doesn't do what Quebec does. Poor man's logic that can only come from Mississippi North.
Imagine if African-Americans under Obama decided, "hey, you know that slavery thing? Pay back time!"
It wouldn't be acceptable, right? No different for Quebec and its current state of affairs.
It's a bunch of tu quoques and other logical fallacies in defending the indefensible. When you lay the cards on the table outside of Quebec's myopic prism, it's not pretty. It's not normal what I'm seeing here.
