We're majority Christian. Simple as that.

No need to apologize for this fact. It's who we are. It's the base root of our civilization. Out entire moral, legal and economic structure are based on Judeo-Christian Western principles.

The idea we have to run from this because people take offence is preposterous.

Given the zeitgeist this position is seen as 'nationalism' but it isn't.

And quite frankly I scarce give a rat's ass what the left thinks.

Imperfect we are but the move to erase our collective cultural heritage to spare someone or some group's feelings doesn't help move a civilization forward. It denies its identity and but can only foster ill-will, cynicism and anger.

We can be open, tolerant and sensitive without erasing our memory and past.

It should stop.

The other part I consider unacceptable is the heroic and genius work missionaries did across the world. This may be news to modern leftists, but they were actually appreciated by the places they visited. We focus on the negative parts but the positive way outweigh it.

For example, French and Italian missionaries (Father Ricci is a famous one) in China helped foster an exchange of ideas the Chinese accepted and admired. Texts were translated into French and Chinese that we learned from.

Alas, these days, with the illiberal, irrational mindset running rampant, these nuggets of our glorious past are forgotten if not outright despised.

I saved this for last.

It's about the infanticide law Andrew Cuomo passed in New York. When I mentioned this law to groups of friends on two separate occasions, NOT ONE person (among about 10) heard of this.

When they read up on it, they were thoroughly troubled.

None of these people are 'extremists' on any level. Just your run of the mill, non-political, citizen that considers themselves to be centrists or mildly to the left or right of centre.

Every single one of them thought Cuomo and NY to not be progressive but murderous.

I'm happy.

But what perplexed me - and them - was how they missed it.

So I asked about if they heard about Alabama and they all did.

And there you go.

It's the way media reports and relays these stories the problem.

They didn't promote Cuomo's law because well 'it's progressive and hip!' Alabama though are just icky hicks.

They didn't provide the context that Alabama's law is in reaction to the insanity pushed by first Virginia and later New York.

What a shame.

But boy do Planned Parenthood get their attention, eh?
