Funding Carolla

Fundanything is an exciting new idea. If you need to raise cash for something, you can solicit the public. If they see value in it, bingo, you're gold. If they don't, sad face.

It's voluntary action on full display.

Perhaps the CBC should consider this.

I know. That would be hard. To say nothing of the sheer fear of the possibility of being rejected.

Anyway.

I'll be kicking in some coin for Adam Carolla's new film Road Hard.

Why?

I like Carolla and it takes balls to do what he's doing. Not only that, he genuinely respects his fans - the people who helped convert his talent into a job.

I like giving to stuff I can control. I don't like when the state takes part of my taxes and steals it outright or hand it over to political parties I would never in my dreams support - like the Bloc Quebecois or NDP. Worse, they sell that shit trying to tell me it's 'democratic' when it has nothing to do with that. Apparently my democratic right to tell them to keep their fingers off my dough doesn't count. It's all one-way with tyrants isn't it?

Fuck you that's why!

Anybloodyway.

I also like Carolla's takes and rants on society and politics. Sorta like, you know, me.

I just haven't figured out how much I want to give. It's in the $35 to $180 range. I would do more if I didn't have this damn business holding all my capital.
