Alive culturaly, our governments and churches, both sides of the botder, have done all they can to assimilate them and kill their culture: compulsory removal of chioldren from reserves, boarding schools, prohibiting use of their language under threth of sanctions, even corporal punishments for doing so, etc. That was done as much by Catholic as Protetant missionaries and goverment of all stripes.
These t-shirts are in poor taste. I don't know how it went from fighting "Muslim extremists/terrorists" to printing t-shirts that portray Natives as terrorists - as if it's all one and the same. That's definitely the ugly side of far right conservatism.
The T-Shirt weare must have a First Nation member reminding us of the fight they have waged since 1492 to remain alive culturaly speaking.
