Sad.

Look, just because you're out to help your fellow man doesn't shield you from senseless murders. The "They won't hurt us because we're there to help" rationale is useless in that part of the world and is incompatible with their views.

Stop being naive.

    Something like this happened not too many years ago in Iraq when a "peace building" team paid an unwelcome visit to some folks in Iraq. Sadly, we want to think that the rules of the fallen world, including a propensity for senseless, even self destructive violence don't apply to us if we feel good about what we are doing. It rarely ends up nicely.
