The Blue Checkers are the new Blue Caps from the gulags.
So. We always hear about how protestors and activists want to have a 'national conversation' but the second someone expresses an opinion that runs against the grain of whatever orthodoxy or narrative in play, they get pummelled.
Drew Brees said he thinks kneeling before the national anthem is disrespectful.
He mentioned how his family fought in was fo freedom and all that.
His opinion.
He's entitled to it just like Kaepernick is.
Yet, people react like he committed a crime against humanity.
This is how cults operate by the way.
And the usual suspects piled on including Stanford Sherman and LeChina James.
Lebron James is about as insufferable as they come. Here's a guy who cowered before China but feels tough enough to chew out Brees for his thoughts? Since the NBA bent over like little cowards before China, the CCP kept vital information about a virus from the world, began its aggression against Hong Kong, and poke India on its borders. Not to mention this is the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre where students gave their lives for freedom.
Now ask me what I think about Richard fucken Sherman and Lebron fucken James. Tough guys jumping on Brees.
I tell people. When you see Lebron James - a drama queen on the court - try and not look at his physical attributes. Try and see a weak mind. People in Hong Kong fight for their freedoms and he still hasn't said a word lest he upsets his China masters (yes, he's a slave metaphorically) because he lacks courage. But Drew Brees from the comfort of his Twitter account for having the temerity to speak in defence of the anthem? He tees off within minutes.
Worse about that whole China mess? He called Moray 'uneducated'. A guy without a fricken college degree called someone else 'uneducated'. A guy who probably never read any of the classics in Western literature, called another man 'undedicated'.
Coward. Ok. Enough of this guy.
Aaron Rodgers is no better. A real man stands up for another and doesn't pile on even if they disagree. He says, 'Drew is entitled to his opinion. I disagree with him but leave him alone'.
Everyone who reacts like reactionaries fails this test.
Two pampered multi-millionaires over compensated for playing stupid games.
The thing thing that's really interesting is on its face, the action of the police officers were awful and plain for all to see. The system reacted quickly and the officers apprehended and charged. Let the system work now.
Instead, it's straight into 'systemic racism' this and 'justice for Floyd' that as looters and rioters destroy, beat up and murder people.
It's a shame Brees - who has done much for New Orleans - was misguided into thinking that would have bought him some tokens before the altar of social justice.
It's worse he couldn't stand by his convictions and not apologize. If you can't stand by your own thoughts then why do you think or exist at all?
It's true people gave their lives for freedom. And you can't stand up and honor this? What kind of courage is that?
James isn't brave. He's a bully. Just like the harpies running social media companies are bullies.
This is not righteous people. They're just myopic minds demanding group think.
In the market place of ideas, there are multiple competing thoughts. Shunning and shaming isn't a legitimate form of critical thinking. It's the last refuge of tiny minds.
For example, if they were after truth, they'd accept that statistically as easily available on the internet to find, black on black crime and black cop on other minorities abuse is HIGHER than white on black incidences. According to a recent WSJ article, cops shot 19 unarmed white people and 9 blacks. Statistically, a cop is more likely to be killed by an armed black male than unarmed black men being killed by cops. All data and facts.
Try and say this in these emotionally charged times. The problem is, you can't pretend this is not true for if you do, the problem will never be fixed or go away. You have to be honest - truly honest - about your own weaknesses and shortcomings. At the moment, all we seem to be asking is 'shut up whitey this is how you're going to respond because our truth matters'. This is counter-productive.
This doesn't mean racism doesn't exist or that activists don't have a point but instead of shutting people up or busing up communities, maybe try and get law makers to get rid of qualified immunity which give cops a long leash? Or maybe weaken police unions? Work towards actual workable goals with real outcomes.
Sprouting off from Twitter is lazy bull shit. Lebron can easily call Trump and work with him to make things better but he chooses to sit on his ass and take the easy way out by bashing the President from afar.
And with bullies you need to stand up to them and say, 'Enough pal. You think your way and I think my way.'
If he doesn't like it that's his problem.
He's not god.
He's just a basketball player. People need to stop making idols of these people.
Ask yourselves one question as politicians rule and not govern over you though a pandemic while censorious minds look to shut you up:
Are you free? And if you are, are you prepared to defend yourself when that freedom is threatened?
