There will be some serious, hopefully, introspection going on from how we deal with germ warfare and what to do with China. This will take true leadership. In order to navigate through potential uncertain waters, the country has to have some semblance of unity and in its current political configuration it simply isn't courtesy of the Trudeau Liberals.
He recently said closing borders to China and Iran was 'racist'. Until he was personally hit with it.
His border measures, to add, mean nothing if he doesn't shut down that little narrow path at Roxham, Quebec.
As such, he's unfit to lead Canada in my view. The perception is he doesn't have the interests of the nation at heart. It's worth noting he only seemed to act when his wife contracted the virus.

There's a pandemic and the media and on the left are babbling about whether calling it a Wuhan virus is 'racist'. Notice how this is how they first described it until the Chinese put their little commie noses into propaganda over drive.
Be prepared for an endless streams of 'reporters in China' acting like 'objective' journalists telling stories of how 'responsible China was' and how 'they felt safer under China quarantines' while siding with China's claims of this being a U.S. Army conspiracy. They will try and fool you into thinking China responded quickly - which they absolutely didn't. They tried to suppress it and went it got out of control, they couldn't control the narrative and spin. Stop eating bats. Start there.
It's best to recall China is squarely at fault here. These flu viruses generally originate in China. There's no secret here. It was China, as an authoritarian country, who attempted to suppress information rather than do the right thing out of simple human decency. Iran did the exact same thing.
To think we form our misguided environmental policies largely based on the transgressions of the Chinese.

From China using the useful idiots in the Fake News media as propaganda tools, to America's $1 trillion dollar stimulus, to lockdowns that are already having serious ramifications amidst a stock market crash, to spectacularly stupid finger pointing and the usual anti-Trump rhetoric to the Democrats shamelessly and macabrely using this as a political wedge.
Here in Quebec and Canada we're fearful of the health care system getting overwhelmed and decided to 'shut her down' as well. But people have already begin to feel the financial pinch and many have lost their jobs. I'm somewhat comforted that Quebec is led by a businessman. Hopefully, he won't let it get to the point of fracturing the economy to the point it will take years to recover. Quebec in particular has put its financial affairs in order for once and it would be a shame to let that go by the wayside.
So far I'm pleased with Quebec's tone and message.
Trump is in a very tough spot. It's an election year for him and with the economy threatened and the Democrats acting irresponsibly looking to capitalize on the fear of people, he has no choice but to play along.
Is this justified relative to the actual problem? I fear the cure will be way worse than the disease if this goes beyond April or May.
