Of College Scandals; SNC-Lavalin And Liberal Arrogance; American Polity

I've never gone this long before posts before but a combination of my being away on vacation, the sheer amount of stupidity in the news, and good old fashioned procrastination and laziness, I lost some of my edge to keep up. Not to mention uber-frustrating. What am I supposed to do with the lunatic belief Chelsea Clinton and Donald Trump are *responsible* for a tragic and deadly shooting of Muslims? Broken minds can't be mended so easily.

Reminds me of Spurious Correlations.

It's been a while I've been feeling overwhelmed incapable of putting down to words my thoughts in any articulate and intelligent (ahem) manner.

Regardless, we must push forward.

Let me dive right in on a couple of things.

First, regarding the college scandal in the United States. I'm pretty sure this is nothing new but it's nice some light has been shed on it. The dilution of post-secondary education has been mentioned here in the past. I'm of the opinion a good number of people sitting in classes don't belong there.

It's no wonder they churn out illiberal idiots like that girl from the Bronx sitting in Congress or the other one from Minnesota.

Affirmative Action + corruption = AOC.

On SNC-Lavalin. No one seems to grasp the essence of the problem: The attempted circumnavigation  and flippant attitude towards the rule of law.

Fundamentally at the core of our genius sits the rule of law and property rights. Mess with that, we cease to be who we are.

That an insufferable and remedial mind like Justin doesn't grasp this is of no surprise whatsoever. His inability to apologize or recognize what he did goes beyond what I think is acceptable political behaviour just cuts right to his character or lack thereof.

This man is not a leader of men; of a nation.

By what logical calculus does one conclude 'saving 9000 thousand jobs' (an empty and weak attempt at obfuscation) is worth sacrificing the rule of  law?

Turns out the DOJ did indeed instruct the FBI to not prosecute Hilary. This adds to having known for some time the Obama administration did indeed spy on Trump. For its part, the FBI then attempted a soft coup to remove a legally elected official to the Presidency.

Never mind all, what I regard to be unseemly unethical, if not outright traitorous behaviour that went along with it from perjury to Lynch meeting with Bill Clinton.

I wonder if Barr will do something about all this.

These aren't great days for justice and democracy in both Canada and the United States.

Having officials account for their actions would be a great start in restoring confidence in the system lost.
