My first question is what happens when 'their guy' doesn't win the pop. vote? Suddenly I think they're gonna get 'flexible.'
These states, I reckon, are operating under a false sense of justice and righteousness.
Why are they willing to push the country into this direction?
Imagine wiling to jeopardize the sanctity of your own laws for political expediency? Forgive me if one cynically concludes they're not doing this out of principle but strictly to 'stick it to fly over country' as well as to Trump.
All because of ONE election result the left didn't like.
In effect, these states are leading a path to where America's elections will always be determined by the most populous states. The Electoral College was designed to prevent such unfairness.
Why would a small state like Colorado hand over its votes to L.A.,NY and CHI? Why? Because they believe they will stay Blue forever? How insipid and unfair to voters is this?
All from the hand of a highly ideological, unprincipled and corrupted Democrat party.
Besides, how is this temper tantrum even constitutional?
This despite TWO of the greatest bull markets in American history and some meaningful reforms.

This is not to say there isn't merit in what they're saying. The EC has been debated since the founding of the country.
It's just that it's suspicious and weasel like how they're going about it. No debate, no discussion. They just assume they'd win.

You know, we were told America was racist and couldn't handle Obama. As if there weren't any valid reasons to criticize his administration. Turns out, his administration wasn't only incompetent but as sleazy and corrupt as they come. But he was protected. America let his term run.
No calls for changes in American life or politics. The Republicans didn't try and tinker with the system. They didn't holler and scream for eight years like we're seeing. They protested sure but that was the extent of it.
The Republicans did look to tear up the system. That's the conservatism in them. This was the system and it's the best they got. They respected it.
Democrats? They're ready to burn the whole thing down for no real good reason other than...Trump.
This is what the left does....destroy.
Those states who signed it? As far as I'm concerned are a disgrace and their people should be ashamed to be part of something that's potentially so divisive and dangerous.
The party that wants to unite is more divisive than they care to acknowledge.
